2. Give an example of a medical term that fits that rule. List chapter and page number.
3. Define all the word parts of that medical term (i.e. prefix, suffix, wood root, combining vowel). What does the prefix indicate (location, time, number or status)? What does the suffix indicate (procedure, condition, disorder, or disease)?
4. Define the medical term. Define all word parts.

6. Give the definition for the term you have chosen.
7. Find a definition from another source - or put the definition into your own words.

Example:
Triage - is the process of determining the priority of patients' treatments based on the severity of their condition. If you go into an Emergency Room or Urgent Care Center, a nurse will screen you to determine if you need immediate attention, or if you can wait while they take care of patients with more urgent problems.
